10.10.10 Global day of doing

Tomorrow is an extraordinary date and we can all do something to make it even more special. Tomorrow is also the Global Day of Doing all over the world. Millions of people and organizations will be gathering to celebrate this day and everyone will be taking some steps to cut their emissions, cut carbon and send a powerful message to world leaders that people everywhere are ready to tackle climate change. Have you decided how to make a positive impact on this unique date? If the answer is “YES” then good for you! We are all very proud of you! If your answer is “NO”, don’t take it too hard on yourself. You still have plenty of time to plan your day tomorrow so that it is as environment-friendly as possible. Whether you choose not to drive your car and ride a bicycle instead, or prepare yourself a low carbon meal or even plant a tree, it is all up to you, just make it green, do it for our beautiful world and most of all – have fun! If you need some inspirational ideas for the big day tomorrow visit the official Global Day of Doing website at

I live in Bulgaria and I plan to do the following:

1. I am not driving my car tomorrow but walking instead (burn some calories as a bonus 🙂 )

2. Share a low carbon meal with friends

3. Attend the gathering

at the National Palace of Culture (Sofia) where WWF Bulgaria in association with “Coalition for the climate” are organizing a great event. Citizens with gather to write the number 350 which symbolizes the immediate actions that need to be taken to stabilize the climate. Countries all over the world are going to mark this day with some event. Google to see what your country is doing and what events you can be a part of. 🙂 Have a great day and if you have pictures, post them afterwards. Spread the love!

Green love,

GoodSearch – search the internet and raise money at the same time :)

I just heard about a way we can raise money while we do our searches on the internet and it sounds like a brilliant idea to me. Here’s what they say on their site:

“Last year search engines generated close to $8 billion in revenue from advertisers. We’ve developed a way to direct some of that money to the causes you care about most. It’s easy … every time you search the Internet at, your charity or school earns money and the more you search, the more they make. Add up the money generated from all your searches and those done by the millions of other people who we hope will use GoodSearch, and we can make a real difference to the people and causes that need funds most.”

Sound’s great, doesn’t it? I know you’re nodding right now 🙂

So, here’s what they need you to do:

  • On the GoodSearch homepage, choose from thousands of organizations or add your favorite cause to our list.
  • Search the Internet just like you normally would — the site is powered by Yahoo!, so you’ll get high-quality search results.
  • Fifty percent of the revenue generated from the sponsored search advertisers is shared with the charity, school or nonprofit organization of your choosing.

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

Thank you for your support! 🙂 Now go and tell others about it – you can blog it, badge it, email it, tweet etc. The site gives you great options to help you share, so do it 🙂
